It is recommended for edge gluing wood materials but not recommended for clamping an extreme amount of pressure. The clamp opens to around 24.5 inches but not up to 25 inches. Users will love its great clamping force, and the fact that it is easy to handle. Dubuque Clamp Works is highly praised for making lightweight, powerful, and strong products in the USA. The tolerances are tight, and the bar slides easily only when the whole clamp is clean. Users are advised to ensure that no loose gunk is stuck on the clamps before gluing or epoxy because the tolerances are tight. Premier hand-tool maker Lie Nielsen now sells Dubuque clamps under its brand name. There is a suggestion that Dubuque Clamp Works should create a version of this clamp that includes the clamping screw on the moving piece, giving more flexibility in certain situations. Nevertheless, the Dubuque Clamp Works Bar Clamp is highly recommended.
