Electronics-Salon Screw Editorial Review
The Electronics-Salon Raspberry Pi breakout allows users to connect wires and jumper pins to runs on a breadboard or directly to items such as LEDs, motors, and switches without having to solder to the Raspberry Pi. The pins are labeled based on the BCM Board configuration which should all make sense once the user looks up the PI 3 BCM board pinout. It works with the 40 pin connector that is used on the pi 2 and the pi 3. The standoffs M2.5 L11mm are included with the product. Users, however, need to pull up a proper pinout online to compare the pin labels on the board since the labels on the banks did not match the printing on some of the products. Some users found this product to be compact and easy to use, and it allowed them to connect to the IO on the Raspberry Pi without any fuss. Others found the pin labels somewhat confusing and wished for a table that listed pin numbers and corresponding labels. The product received generally positive reviews, and many users loved the small area to solder components. They also praised the fact that the standoff enclosed in the package makes it sit securely on the Raspberry Pi.
