The PRECISE 3" Mini Vernier Caliper is a plastic instrument designed for small-scale measurements. The caliper is lightweight, waterproof, and cheaply priced. It is easy to use for garage projects, getting a thickness and depth dimension under 3". However, they are not highly precise and not meant for machine shop type applications. The vernier scale can be a challenge to read, but once mastered, it is easy to use. Although they are cheaply priced, some customers found them to be poorly made. The tick marks are hard to read, the jaw is floppy, and the minor scale is useless.
