The red indicator light stays flashing all day. There is also a Low Light Mode which keeps the low bright (45 lumens) at night and when motion is detected, it automatically keeps the lighting on for 20 seconds and then back to low light. The red indicator light stays flashing all day. The device is adjustable to accommodate for sun positioning. However, according to one review, the bracket broke during installation and he was unsuccessful in mounting the camera on an aluminum post. Another customer reported that the product stopped working after six months.
