It is compatible with Melissa & Doug and Brio tracks and is much better at pulling trains than the battery-powered Thomas die-cast trains. It is also a quiet and high-quality toy that is easy to assemble. The only complaint is that Hape only has two locomotive options. However, it is a great addition to any wooden train collection.
