The Maya 2009 book by Dariush Derakhshani received mixed reviews from customers. While some found it to be an excellent resource for learning Maya and credited it for helping them master the program and improve their skills, others expressed frustration with the book's organization and its challenging nature for beginners. The book was praised for delving into the complexities of the Maya software and providing a strong foundation for learning, ultimately resulting in higher quality projects. However, some reviewers highlighted issues with the book's binding, stating that it fell apart easily, and that the CD attached to the back page cracked due to poor packaging. Overall, the book was recognized as a valuable resource for those serious about learning Maya, but it was critiqued for being tough to navigate for beginners and having structural issues. **
