The HTC Vive Controller is a hand-based interface for the HTC Vive system that works with both the v1 and v2 base stations. It comes with the new blue strap that can be found if ordered directly through HTC. The controller has a three-dimensional tracking feature that enables movement in games and applications, but lacks a joystick for any accuracy in movement in the games. In terms of customer reception, there is a mix of reviews. While some are pleased with the product's durability and compatibility, others are not satisfied with how quickly the controller lost charge and within months of purchasing needed to purchase a new one. There are also concerns with the trackpad and button mechanism in chaotic game play. Some say the trackpad is not responsive enough or is too fragile, while others found that the thumb won't register in the right place. Another common issue is the unit not pairing or tracking properly. On the other hand, some reviewers praised the controller's design and performance.
