The antenna appears to have some difficulty with fitment but that can be resolved with gentle pressure. The product comes with adequate cable, mounting hardware, and a bracket but not a mast or wire. There are varying opinions on how well it works. Some were extremely happy with the reception while others were extremely disappointed. It can work for scanner radios only if the scanner operates in the FM frequency range of 88-108 MHz. Husband of one reviewer was very satisfied with the purchase. Some reviewers used this indoors and it worked very well but others were not impressed. It is unclear how effective this product will be in areas with natural obstructions or meddling weather conditions.
