Iron-Clad Java is an amazing book that covers most security issues in developing web applications in Java. It explains how hackers think and exploit weak areas in applications, and provides ways to defend against them. The writing style is engaging and the book presents both positive and negative patterns. The breadth of topics is superb, covering the OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities and practical examples. This book is highly recommended for developers in industries dealing with sensitive information. However, some reviewers felt that the book lacked enough information to actually help them in their job and was more of a secondary reference book. There were also a few disagreements with the presentation of certain topics, such as CSRF and Insecure Direct Object Reference Attack.
