OTC Brake Flaring Tools 6502 Editorial Review

This flaring tool can be used for fuel, transmission, and brake lines, as long as they are mild steel. The holding bar cannot hold stainless firmly for a double flare. The tool is made in Taiwan and only single flares 14mm, double and bubble flares up to 10mm. The tool kit tells you on the main hose clamping piece what size die you need for making the flare for each tubing size. It comes with a reaming tool for clearing off sharp edges and burs from cutting the tubing. Customers reported having success using this tool for various types of flare fittings, including those on a Toyota Corolla.
