Drama Editorial Review
Operation Heartbeat is a pilot film for the TV show Medical Center, which aired in the late 1960s. This particular pilot film is a great introduction to the character Joe Gannon, who later played by Chad Everett in the full series. Richard Bradford does an excellent job as the lead, and the story is engaging and well-paced. However, it is important to note that some of the feedback and reviews of this film focus on the appearance of Shelley Fabares, who has a brief scene in a bikini running on the beach with Richard Bradford. While it is not uncommon for films and TV shows of this era to include these types of scenes, it may be uncomfortable or inappropriate for some viewers. Overall, if you are a fan of classic TV shows and are interested in the history of Medical Center specifically, Operation Heartbeat is definitely worth checking out.
