The mount opens up to 180 degrees making it versatile to use, but it's important to note that the 45 lb thrust model is not recommended for brackish water. It's a fair value for the money and works best on smaller boats. Unfortunately, there are some issues with quality control, including missing parts upon delivery, and breakage within a few months of use.
