ASA Aircraft Accessories Editorial Review

The ASA Holding Pattern Computer seems to be a popular tool among aviation enthusiasts, particularly those studying for their Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) exams. It is described as a simple and great idea that makes understanding and following hold entry procedures easy. One customer mentions using the product during their IFR exam, suggesting that it can be a useful "cheat" allowed by the FAA. Additionally, the device is praised for simulating the aircraft's heading and providing a perspective similar to that of an HSI (Horizontal Situation Indicator). Despite its positive reception, some customers have pointed out a flaw with the product's assembly. The standard turns compass card is apparently mounted backwards, which could be seen as a design flaw. Overall, the ASA Holding Pattern Computer is highly recommended for those struggling with visualizing and understanding hold entry procedures. It appears to be an invaluable tool for studying and passing FAA written Instrument or CFII tests.
