VBScript in a Nutshell: A Desktop Quick Reference 2nd Edition
**** The product at the center of this editorial review, "VBScript in a Nutshell, 2nd Edition," has garnered a wealth of positive feedback from customers who have found it to be an invaluable resource for both beginners and experienced programmers alike. The structured layout and comprehensive index are particularly praised for facilitating quick reference and easy navigation, making it a go-to source for quick checks on syntax and function names. Many users noted that the book effectively facilitated their learning curve, especially for those unacquainted with VBScript, transforming a daunting subject into an accessible one. While the reference material is filled with essential tips and insights culled from practical experience, some users feel that the book could benefit from additional code examples. They argue that concrete examples would complement the definitions and help clarify complex concepts, especially for those pressed for time. Nevertheless, the existing hints and problem-solving insights are seen as a boon, guiding readers through potential pitfalls in scripting. Readers have highlighted the value of the book’s thoroughness in covering topics that are often overlooked in other tutorials, such as programming Outlook forms and error handling, which many found unexpectedly beneficial. Although some experienced users lamented the absence of certain documentation elements in the 2nd edition, overall satisfaction remains high. In summary, "VBScript in a Nutshell" is highly recommended for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of VBScript. The book’s rich reference material combined with its user-friendly organization makes it an essential tool for programmers at all levels. **
