ACTIVISION Games 76614 Editorial Review
**Editorial Review** The Squinkies 2 game for Nintendo DS has garnered mixed reactions from parents and children alike. Designed primarily for younger audiences, particularly those between the ages of 5 and 8, the game seems to strike a chord with some children while falling flat for others. Many young players, especially those around 6 years old, find the game engaging and enjoyable. The levels are described as cute and fun, with an easy-to-navigate format that allows younger players, such as a 3-year-old, to participate successfully with just a bit of parental assistance initially. The game encourages coordination and offers a playful atmosphere that resonates well with its intended demographic. However, the appeal isn't universal. Some children in a similar age group showed little interest in the game, suggesting that its reception may vary significantly based on individual preferences. For families with avid gamers, the lack of complex challenges may not hold adult gamers' interest, reinforcing its intent as a child-friendly platformer rather than a game suitable for older players. Overall, Squinkies 2 appears to be a decent option for young children who enjoy light, fun gaming experiences, but parents should be aware that some children may not engage with the content as enthusiastically. **
