SINGER Sewing 264 Editorial Review
The SINGER Polyester Hand Sewing Thread Kit, featuring 24 assorted colors in miniature spools, has garnered a largely positive reception among customers. Users appreciate the rich variety of colors, which allows for easy matching to various fabrics for mending and small sewing projects. At a low price point, this kit offers an economical solution for those seeking quick fixes without the commitment of purchasing larger spools of thread. Many customers have specifically noted the kit's utility for hand sewing, a feature that resonates particularly well with users who either do not own sewing machines or those who find themselves needing to stitch on-the-go. The included needle threader, although criticized for its fragility, is viewed as a useful bonus. However, it's worth mentioning that several customers advised against relying on the threader for future projects, suggesting instead the addition of a dedicated sewing tool kit for more robust results. Despite its merits, there are important Considerations to keep in mind. The small size of the spools—measuring only ½ inch across and ¾ inch high, with 10 yards of thread each—caught some users off guard, leading to mixed feelings about their practical usability. Some customers expressed frustration with the lightweight nature of the spools, which made them challenging to organize without risk of losing them. Furthermore, buyers must be aware that this thread is recommended only for hand sewing and not suitable for use with sewing machines. Overall, this thread kit is an excellent choice for casual sewists, travelers, or those needing a compact solution for minor repairs. Its affordability and variety make it a standout option for on-the-spot fixes, despite some drawbacks concerning spool size and threader durability. **
