The stamp comes with ink pad, but one customer did not receive an ink pad with their package. The stamp takes liquid ink or roller type ink refills. The stamp prints MON DAY YEAR, e.g. JAN 28, 2017. The years included are 2019 through 2030. The ink may smear on glossy paper. The ink may make a mess when changing the date. The stamp is inexpensive and works well when used correctly.
