The Marine Tech Tools Mercury Lifting Ring is a universal lifting system that is suitable for lifting Mercury outboard engines. It is a versatile tool, and customers have used it on various types of engines, from a 1977 Mercury 70HP to a 2006 Mercury 90HP outboard, and many in between. Customers have also used it on Yamaha engines with an adapter. The tool screws into the top of the motor for lifting the motor off the boat, and it is well made and looks good. One customer who had worked in a machine shop and made similar tools said that this product looked better than the ones they had made in the shop. The only caveat is that customers need a winch or engine crane to be able to lift the weight of their engine.
