Drama Editorial Review
"Goodbye Uncle Tom" is a documentary-style film that explores the horrors of slavery. The film combines realistic footage of the antebellum era with present-day scenes, creating a jarring contrast for viewers. Some customers found this approach to be misleading and felt that the film was falsely advertised as a documentary. They expressed disappointment and dissatisfaction, with one customer even stating that they should be refunded for their time and money. However, other customers praised the film for its informative and impactful portrayal of slavery. They felt that the film was a necessary reminder of the brutalities that were inflicted upon an entire race of people. Some recommended watching the film on a big screen to fully grasp the magnitude of the subject matter. On the other hand, there were customers who criticized "Goodbye Uncle Tom" for its alleged white-supremacist views and historical inaccuracies. They Considered the film to be degrading towards black men and women and believed that it had the potential to cause more harm than good. Overall, "Goodbye Uncle Tom" seems to elicit strong reactions from viewers. While some appreciate its realistic depiction and informative nature, others find fault with its approach and underlying messages.
