DVD Editorial Review
Maximum Overdrive is an entertaining blend of action and adventure that dives into a wild scenario based on Stephen King's short story, Trucks. Despite some early concerns from viewers regarding the DVD's compatibility, the movie still retains a nostalgic charm for many, showcasing a campy experience filled with explosions and memorable lines. The film features a plethora of characters, notably Emilio Estevez leading the charge against eerie, runaway trucks. Reviewers highlighted the entertaining mix of gore and comedy, with a soundtrack by AC/DC that adds to its retro vibe, making it a fun pick for movie nights seeking a cheesy horror experience.
