However, there are some errors in pronunciation and contradictions regarding certain sounds. Additionally, the use of 'Vt' instead of 't' throughout the textbook is a consistent problem. Though the book is a great resource for independent learners, it is not recommended as a beginner's book due to the lack of systematic introduction to Slovak grammar and the absence of answers to grammar exercises. It is suggested to start with James Naughton's book, 'Colloquial Slovak', before using 'Beginning Slovak'. Studying both books thoroughly will provide a solid understanding of basic Slovak.
