Immediately start the stopwatch when the finger is released. As soon as there is a first “break” of the flow, stop the stopwatch. The second shown is the time of the liquid flow, which is also the flow viscosity of that liquid.
  • Zahn Cup can be used to quickly determine the viscosity of printing ink, dyes, coatings, experimental solvents, leather paint, oil, grease, food, and other mobile liquids in the printing industry such as paint, varnish, wet enamel, gravure, relief, lithography, flexography, silk plate, etc. Zahn Cup is often used as a fast viscosity measuring tool in workshops and on the spot.
