The Xero Shoes men's Flip-flops, specifically the Genesis model, have received mixed reviews from customers. However, after watching a video on the Xero Shoes website, they were able to adjust the straps correctly and found the shoes to be extremely comfortable. The thin soles provide a barefoot-like feel on flat surfaces and offer protection from hot pavement. However, the thin soles may not be suitable for walking on rough or jagged surfaces, and customers recommend using the Xero Z-Trek II model for more protection on such surfaces. Some customers experienced durability issues with the Genesis, as the rubber tag on the back of the heels came unglued and caused the thread holding the straps together to come apart after a year of full-time wear. Despite this, customers still appreciate the comfort and barefoot feel of the Genesis and are willing to purchase new pairs annually if needed.
