Founded in 1974, Staub is a historic company located in the industrial land of Alsace, France.
The Staub Cocotte combines innovative design, durability, and the ability to produce the best results even in the toughest of conditions, which is why French chefs have been using it since its launch. One of the most unique features of this Cocotte is the 'Pico' protrusion on the back of the footer - it has a self-basting system that automatically circulates the cooking vapor to ensure even heat distribution and retains the natural flavors and nutrients of the ingredients. The Tsukami handle ensures a comfortable and secure grip even at high temperatures and can be used in the oven as well. The entire Cocotte is covered in Staub's unique grit and processed with Emeille to ensure increased surface area and less contact with ingredients, preventing scorching and oil-free cooking. It's perfect for minimal heat cooking and has excellent heat retention.
The glass-based emaille is also strong against acid and prevents any odor transfer during long-term use.
