The Alesis Vortex Wireless 2 is a high-performance USB/MIDI wireless keytar controller that comes with a professional software suite, including ProTools|First and Ableton Live 11 Lite. The wireless function reportedly has no delay when playing a note and hearing it through a PC. The device is not polyphonic by itself, but it's class compliant, and you can send MIDI data to your computer for use with virtually all music production-based software. One user found it challenging to set up and had to contact customer support, while another reported issues connecting it to Mac operating systems. Another reviewer had a problem with the device's pitch wheel skipping a few numbers at the end of a bend. However, other users praised the product, mentioning its great software, polyphonic capabilities, battery life, and cool design. Users also noted that it's a controller and doesn't make any sound unless connected to a computer. A regular guitar stand is enough to stand the device up. The only criticism was that you can't stand it upright like a guitar. With some practice, users can do hammer-ons, pull-offs, and slides, producing riffs virtually impossible on other synths.
