Learning Resources LER2935 Editorial Review
**** Botley the Coding Robot Activity Set has garnered significant enthusiasm from families, being heralded as an engaging tool for children aged three and older. Its primary charm lies in its ability to bridge the gap between play and education, nurturing children's interest in coding without the need for screens or complex applications. Parents appreciate the clear, structured instructions that cater to a range of skill levels, allowing even adults to take part in the coding fun. Families find that the Botley is not just a toy but also a source of creative entertainment that stimulates imaginative play. Children quickly embrace their new "pet" robot, enjoying the interactive features, such as various commands and the ability to perform amusing tricks. The robot promotes essential STEAM skills through its engaging activities, making it an ideal resource for schools, nurseries, and home environments alike. While most feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, there are noted issues concerning the robot’s turning capabilities—some users report it doesn’t always make a perfect 90-degree turn, which may hinder the execution of intricate routing challenges. Nonetheless, the overall Consensus is that Botley provides an enjoyable learning experience that participates with families in meaningful playtime, making it a worthwhile addition to any young child's toy collection. **
