MOES ZigBee Wireless Scene Switch Push Button Controller, Tuya/MOES Zigbee Hub Required, Smart Life & Tuya Remote Control, 1 Gang

The MOES ZigBee Wireless Scene Switch Push Button Controller offers a convenient way to control smart devices in your home. However, it falls short in terms of build quality and battery life. In terms of build quality, the switch feels cheap and plasticky compared to other similar products on the market. The rattling sound and lack of sturdiness may be off-putting for some users. Additionally, the instruction sheet that comes with the switch has faint print, making it difficult to read, and the lack of included battery shows a lack of Consideration for customer convenience. The pairing process with Home Assistant using ZHA can be a bit finicky, with some users reporting multiple attempts needed to successfully pair the switch. Once paired, Home Assistant recognizes the switch and offers various trigger options such as short press, long press, and double press. However, some users have found the double press function to be unreliable, often misinterpreted as short presses. Battery life is a significant drawback of this product, with multiple users reporting that the batteries run out quickly, sometimes within a couple of weeks. This quick drain can be frustrating, especially when other similar devices have shown much better battery longevity. Despite its shortcomings, the MOES ZigBee Wireless Scene Switch Push Button Controller does serve its purpose for users who are experimenting with automations and need a temporary solution. However, for those looking for a more durable and long-lasting switch, it may be worth Considering other options.
